PREGNANCY ULTRASOUND
We pride ourselves being accredited through the Animal Ultrasound Association. Ultrasound scanning is completely pain-free. There are no risks associated with ultrasound -scanning for the mother or the puppies she is carrying. The reason is it’s completely non-invasive - we scan the tummy using a dopler and do not need to enter the dog.
KEY POINTS
ONE
We recommend first scan to be carried out 30 days after final mating. If your bitch can be nervous a good walk prior to appoitment is a must.

To get optimum results we recommend NO later than day 35 post mating.

We will confirm viable pregnancy Remember scans are performed in real-time, it is not a snap-shot of the abdomen like with x-ray – so one sac can easily be counted twice, and sacs can be hidden behind one another. But we will estimate.
